4. Penang Island is located in the northwestern part of Peninsular Malaysia. Once you there, must visit the pristine jungle and beaches at Feringgi. Penang famous with Chinese influenced with great food at numerous hawkers.
5. The three major cities on the eastern side of Peninsular Malaysia are Kuantan, Kuala Terengganu and Kota Bharu. Kuala Terengganu and Kelantan are Islamic states a bit conservative. Kuantan is a great city to explore and nice beaches nearby called "Cherating".
6. Mount Kinabalu on Borneo is the highest mountain in Malaysia with 4092 meters. There is no snow at the summit but it's quite cold compared to sea level. If you decided to climb the mountain, you should visit the Kota Kinabalu city which is closest to mountain. The view on summit is really great and worth to try. Plenty beaches and island you could visit around the Kota Kinabalu city with reasonable cost for the boat.
7. Kinabatangan, River cruise at Borneo had very different exotic animal species that can be spotted from out of a small boat. A Kinabatangan river cruise is a great way to explore the in lands of Sabah. You definitely will have a great time and we recommend it everyone to try.
8. Diving at Sipadan island, one of the best diving spots on the world. Most of diving enthusiast called "beneath" the island is simply stunning. 9. Cameron Highlands located close to the city of Ipoh in western part of Peninsular Malaysia. Cameron Highlands are higher than many other places in Malaysia, the temperature is a bit cooler there. If u trying to escape from warm and humid climate of the big cities than Cameron Highlands is the right place to visit.
10. Taman Negara is protected area of pristine and rainforest in Malaysia. The purpose is to indigenerous flora and fauna. It use to be the world's oldest tropical rainforest. Taman Negara also have the highest peak example Gunung Tahan. A trip to Taman Negara is a must on your itinerary.
